He was saying that our country has had all the technology to have solar panels on a satellite, in near Earth orbit, which transmit the solar energy achieved to areas of Earth & the solar powered products there.
Think of how the fossil fuels industries’ & interconnected industries’ owners owning supposed to be our politicians to keep Near Earth Solar Panels Energy from becoming a reality, for 60-years, has resulted in all the:
Worsting of ‘Global Warming’,
Lost of not only our species lives, but Other Living Beings & acres of Living Environments,
&
Lessing the amount of time we have to prevent the worst of ‘Global Warming’!
See the on Earth solar panels space use, & thus the other Beings lost of that space, is one of the biggest selling points of Near Earth Orbiting Solar Energy.
Plus, with better performance, does not the cost per Watt save money?
This is simply false. There’s no shortage of space to set up panels. You can power entire nations with just the space available on top of buildings, parking lots, roads, etc. Or really there’s plenty of space in desert environments. Hell, even farmland can host solar panels through agriphotovoltaics. There has never been a solar power project in history that’s been canceled due to lack of available space to build it.
It does, but it’s a drop in the ocean. You are severely underestimating how expensive it is to get things into orbit.
