I shouldn’t need to filter out all NSFW simply because there’s a shotgun blast of new porn communities every month. I ended up just blocking every one I see, simply because that’s not what I’m on Lemmy for.

However, giving up on the NSFW stuff (some of which won’t be lewd) is the price you have to pay. the NSFW thing is a social construct and courtesy , and is 95% lewd shit anyway, so you’re not exactly missing out on much.
Don’t make your porn addiction our problem. You can disable show NSFW or block instances and/or communities. You can also switch to an instance like programming.dev which hides pornographic communities by default. You have to manually subscribe to them to see them. Tons of things you can do instead.
