It’s these things. Notice how the thread is smaller than the shaft. You always need to drill a pilot hole, otherwise the thread won’t bite into the wood. The thread is also pretty tight, so screwing it two-three times in the same hole is enough to strip the wood in the hole, so it can be pulled out with tweezers with almost no resistance. That is the point. It is depicting two sets of heterosexual relationships that do not work out because the individuals are just not compatible. But instead of the individuals moving onto finding the right heterosexual partner for them, they get the bright idea to just resort to a homosexual relationship. The joke is just “gays are dumb”.
