Yeah I think that’s a fair point. But I prefer for my political comics which endorse my views to do at least ONE of the following:
- Point out something in a way I didn’t notice before
- Make some kind of creative or novel spin on the idea
- Be visual pleasant to look at
- Have some kind of new insight
- Be particularly scathing to who it’s making fun of, in a way that I know would piss them off
- Make a funny joke
But most political comics don’t do ANY of these things, and instead count on being aligned with my views to carry the whole thing.
Like this comic is essentially not much different from this drawing I’ve just made. Tbh I’d have laughed harder if that was the post
