Not a fan of how this conflates the male loneliness epidemic with being MAGA. The loneliness epidemic is very real. It affects women too, but it does appear to have larger impact on men.

Still, I love reading Hypocra Sea.

There’s two components to male loneliness.

One part is horrible misogyny driven by MAGA and manosphere influencers.

One part is the patriarchy teaching young boys to be self sufficient and have no emotion allowed but anger.

The good news is that individuals can unlearn both of those things and become less lonely.

Do you seriously believe that the only way a man can be lonely is by being a piece of shit? You’re out of your fucking mind.

That causes unattractive men. But isn’t the loneliness epidemic actually just a lack of free time, housing, third spaces and social isolation?

Yes, right wing people suck, but they are having more children than left wing people, aren’t they?

All of those things also apply to women though. So while all of those affect overall loneliness (and kill community), it’s not specifically a male issue.

I think! But maybe I’m wrong. I’m no expert.

The loneliness epidemic does affect woman and should not be conflated with right wing people doing right wing things.

I believe it’s the context that MAGA believes:
      Women shouldn’t

      • vote
      • have access to financial services
      • real estate
      • divorce
      • etc.

That absolute leads to disenfranchisement with the patriarchal fascist society they wish to uphold.

I am not saying MLE isn’t real, but that both the state & MAGA exacerbate the problem.

I understand the joke. I just think it also conflates the two things when it shouldn’t.
