Weekly reminder that law enforcement finds it difficult to infiltrate leftist, communist, socialist, and anarchist groups because cops are too dumb and think there’s too much reading to fit in.
They also can’t disrupt funding for said groups because the groups are already poor and rely on each other rather than money from outside sources.
Remember, when the painfully obvious UC in a Five Finger Death Punch shirt shows up at your local punk show and asking about drug connections, give them the address of your local bonehead hangout or outlaw MC clubhouse. You might just eliminate two problems at once.
No joke, I’ve actually been asked about drugs by a guy who ws CLEARLY wearing a stab vest, and had a super obvious glint of cuffs hanging out of his skinny jeans (to say nothing of the giant circle bulge on the pocket)
I gave him the address of a jackass I used to know who joined the marines so he “gets to kill people legally”
Otherwise there’s a town close by where Douchebags in lifted pickups like to gather in large numbers to Rev their engines and behave irresponsibly (watch me do this sick burnout Bro OH NO I hit a lamp post) around the local strip mall. I decided if I get asked again I will say to go there, basically everyone is holding and most are willing to share if you’ve got beer to spare.
Best time I ever had fucking with a UC was 20yrs ago. I managed a late night pizza/arcade/hole in the wall venue. The cops were constantly trying to bust us for serving underage (we never did). One night I got a text from a buddy who worked a bar up the street that they were on the prowl.
The cops use kids who’ve been cited for underage drinking as the bait in exchange for expungement, which is a shit trick. A guy and a gal that were clearly mid-teens came in, got in line, but their body language was off. The world’s most obvious pig followed a few seconds later, but instead of getting in line like a normal person, stood in a weird spot near the register.
I acted unaware, took their order, went to cash them out. They ordered beers. I asked for ID, they presented; 15 & 16. But having been through a sting before, I checked, and sure enough the cop was trying to covertly film the exchange as evidence in case I did serve.
So I asked the kids “you know that guy?”
Neither looked back, just nervously said “No.”
So I looked at him “these kids say they don’t know you.”
Now we all knew I knew and that he knew I knew, but he kept his straight face and shrugged it off “yeah, I don’t know them”
“Then why the fuck are you filming them ya fuckin’ creep.”
Then his mask slipped and I got the mother of all death glares. I told him to get the fuck out and never come back, called him a weirdo on the way out. The kids just stared and I finished selling them the pizza.
A few days later the owner called to tell me he’d gotten a call from the police department instructing him to tell me that treating an officer that way is harassment and unacceptable.
“Officer? What officer? Never saw a badge, just a pervert filming kids he didn’t know.”
Someone filming minors is 100% grounds for a beat down, IMO. Of course you’d never get away with it in this case… Even if they were completely unassociated with the guy and he was doing it for personal shit, pigs gonna protect themselves.
I’m kind of surprised the guy didn’t try to arrest you when called out.
I love hitting obvious ones with “WHATS UP, OFFICER!” and usually they have no idea how to handle things from there. Although once one did threaten to arrest me if I didn’t leave. I had shit to do but I honestly wanted to test that just to see what bullshit he’d try to come up with to justify it.
Yeah. Had I not known what it was beforehand and legitimately believed it was a creeper it would have gone a different way, but it was too obvious we all knew we knew. Their tactics were pretty typical. We were in a stretch of town where all the bars were college age targeted so every couple of months they’d spend a night bar hopping trying to find violations, maybe or maybe not knowing that we all let the other bar employees know when we spotted one (not to encourage underage drinking, totally because fuck cops). He probably had more bars to hit on his list.
I am surprised we didn’t get more harassed by them. They did cuff me and a coworker and rough us up one night when a fight broke out between some drunks and us (their instigation), someone called, and they refused to treat the bros as the problem but insisted on harassing us despite being the employees the witness kept insisting were the victims.
Gotta say, 20yrs ago I felt I could probably be a dick and reasonably get away with. Definitely get shot for it nowadays.
… while I believe it about the funding issues, the first bit sounds like a story made up by the FBI to give leftist groups a false sense of superiority. "Don’t check for us, there’s no need, we can’t even read" and it seems pretty dangerous to actually believe that.
I’ve known enough law enforcement to believe it’s 100% true for local establishments
The fbi and nsa are far more educated (usually), and while IDO believe they would have an easier time, I don’t believe they are as versed in theory as the average anarcho-syndicalist commune inhabitant.
I’m sure it’s not true 100% of the time, and probably not even 50%, but law enforcement certainly make themselves easier to filter out.
