I trick my wife into feeling like she has 50% more weekend by tidying the house while she sleeps in, all going grocery shopping before it gets hot, then coming home and relaxing on Saturday. Then Sunday is free for anything. Usually by Sunday afternoon she wants to go do fun stuff this way

It’s Saturday. I have some errands I need to run. But instead I’m in bed. Sometimes on my phone, but mostly falling asleep. Once I finally feel fully rested, the stores I need to go to will probably be closed.

I don’t leave the house unless it’s on fire (true story).

    groceries are delivered

    takeout is delivered

    packages are delivered

I have a car, but honestly haven actually driven anywhere in about 6 months.

All jokes aside, movement is healthy, even if just walking around the block, down the sidewalk, or down the street (I don’t know where you live).

Our bodies are made to move. And while I enjoy vegging out as much as the next person, and I definitely don’t go to the gym, I try to go for a short walk at least once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Also not getting any sunshine at all can give you SAD.

I highly recommend getting out of the house occasionally, for your long term health. You’ll feel better too.

Might as well trade the car in for an E-bike if you can. I’m estimating that just the savings on insurance and maintenance is saving me $2,500 a year. To say nothing if fuel. The E-bike has 3,500 miles on it over the last three years, cost me $800 (30% off sale) and I’ve spent ≈$50 on inner tubes and brake pads each year since.

Oh, and a tip I got from the bike shop. You know that fix a flat crap that you shouldn’t ever use in a car tire, as tire shops will refuse to work on the tire? With an inner tube tire it’s much safer to use when you inevitably pick up something from the road and get a slow leak. Just don’t use the whole can.

would but my wife uses it. we did have two cars at one point but sold it because we didn’t use it.

besides, when I do have to travel it’s usually long drives that an ebike just couldn’t handle.

I feel like there’s a 5th panel missing. Or is this how she spends the whole day? Paralyzing inner argument?

Oh. If that was done on purpose it was too subtle for me.

edit: let me just pontificate on the downvote I received for this: somebody is unfamiliar with the concept of self-deprecation and thinks I have criticized a good cartoon?
