That any government or public figure would subject the public to X’s cesspool in order to contact or keep up with them is as fucked up as the platform itself. It’d be less fucked up to paste government news bulletins onto the walls of a crackhouse.

For anyone who cares, Bluesky is not meaningfully decentralized and can be easily censored.
Mastodon cannot be censored in the same way, thus no long-term enshittification. If you’re going to switch away from Twitter, give Mastodon a try. It uses the same tech/protocol as Lemmy, Piefed, Loops, Pixelfed, m/kbin, etc.
Get in now before the enshittification.
It’s like with planting trees. The best time was to plant some 50 years ago, the second best time is now. But it is too late in many ways.
