This and flannel was me in the 90’s; and everyone else. I loved the thermal under a t-shirt look, let me stay both casual and warm!

I used to have a shirt where the the “long” sleeves where sown onto the short sleeves, giving the illusion I was wearing 2 shirts.

Back in the day I somehow acquired a promo t shirt for the movie Eurotrip that had long sleeves sewn under short sleeves so it looked like you were wearing 2 layers but it was only 1 shirt. Can’t remember where that thing came from, as I’ve never seen the movie.

“Scotty Doesn’t Know” is such a banger of a song too. I couldn’t find it anywhere to download when the movie came but you could play it on the website for Eurotrip, so I recorded the shitty stream to put on my MP3 player.

I have a couple of shirts that my parents got me in the 90s that have long sleeves sewn into a normal tee shirt. They thought I would like them because I did wear thermals and long sleeve tees under my short sleeve tees. I was gracious and would wear them occasionally when I was not going to see anyone I knew, but internally I did not like them because they defeated the purpose of the 2 layer system and made me look like a poser.

I think it’s because you need to stay warm while out skateboarding and going to shows, but a jacket would cover up your band Tshirt, so long sleeves go underneath.

Does it mean anything now? Still a super practical way to get different looks without a big wardrobe through the power of permutation. Also layering produces an air gap that makes this nearly as warm as a sweater and the outer layer rarely needs to be washed. Wore it because I liked music, kept it because I didn’t want to buy a lot of new clothes.

Yes, i have to say - I really like this look. I’ve layered like so omce or twice in my life but i don’t often get long sleeves. A nice winter style

I also remember a short while where sleeveless hoodie-vests was a thing so I was rocking three layers with shorter and shorter length sleeves like that and I was the coolest kid in my school (probably).

I still think sleeveless hoodies are a cute look (if you are a bara character)

Whatever happened to Josh Hartnett? Lucky Number Slevin was a great time and Hollywood Homicide was a fun throwback to campy buddy cop movies. Then he just disappeared.

He had a decent part in Oppenheimer, which was 3 years ago. Then he was in Trap 2 years ago, which had a lot of hype but was evidently bad (I haven’t seen it).

The third season will always make me sad. I get that John Logan felt like the story had reached its natural conclusion but I disagree.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I’ll rewatch Penny Dreadful. Eva Greene and Timothy Dalton, what’s not to like?
