Then it’s a good thing no one said they should be “given carte blanche to disturb everyone else”. They said they deserve space to express themselves freely just as much as you deserve to have a quiet space to take refuge.
That is exactly what was said. Nobody cares about kids expressing themselves. This thread is specifically about kids being given carte blanche to scream.
No, it explicitly isn’t what was said. You’re just misrepresenting what was said to fit your narrative by conflating the idea of “providing spaces where kids can be kids” with “giving them carte blanche to disturb everyone”.
Also, being able to be loud and scream is a form of expressing one’s self. The entire topic is explicitly about kids being allowed spaces where they can express themselves comfortably and without judgment.
So, again since you missed it the first time, if you are to deserve spaces where you can have quiet then kids and others deserve spaces where they can be loud. Fair is fair.
Read the comic just fine. This thread is about kids being allowed to be kids and that society we have created leaves no spaces for them to be so. Sorry you’re too simple minded to understand the topic at hand. Talk about a lack of media literacy.
No it isn’t and repeating yourself and being an asshole isn’t changing anything about the thread. You literally don’t get to decide what the point of my comment was. Sorry you are too simple minded to understand.
I think it might depend on what we mean by “scream”, but I think everybody needs a bit of shouting, adults too. When I started going to martial arts classes, they were telling everybody to yell at certain points, and I thought, “But won’t this disturb the neighbors?” But eventually, I forgot about that and just shouted. It felt good, too.
I’m the neighbor, let the kids scream. It’s like a damn ghost town around here.
The sounds of children playing are bice. As long as it’s within reasonable hours why does it matter.
That’s how I feel. Kids deserve space in society too. They’re not just little adults.
I’m a grownup and I could really use a good scream!
You’re allowed to do it.
I don’t wanna hurt people with autism. I have autism and bad sounds hurt a lot. My screams would definitely be bad for others
also thank you
I usually scream into my pillow when I need to (after giving the roommates a heads up haha)
Thank you.
ETA: You should see if there are any smash rooms around you.
Having space in society doesn’t necessarily mean they should be giving carte blanche to disturb everybody else in the society.
There are very few things on this planet to irritate my tism and ACEs more than screaming of any kind.

You seem to have not read the comic we are all commenting on. This thread is about screaming in neighborhoods nothing more.

I always think someone is dying when the kids are screaming and running in the street, thinking one got hit by a car or something
