- “bad” word censored for not tripping the Facebook OCR filter ✅
- Logo of a movie that’s currently spending a lot of marketing money, perfectly centered and with properly applied transparency ✅
Result: definitely an organic meme, not sponsored
sounds correct. before this “meme”, i didn’t know that they made another one.
Don’t ingest marvel slop
I enjoy marvel slop :(
That’s fair, your allowed to like McDonald’s. Just know that it isn’t the most nutrious for the soul. And it doesn’t have to be.
Loki S1/2 was legit peak cinema
The God father was peak cinema, you buy fake heros from real villains.
Don’t like the movie you like.
Is it just me, or OP kinda sounds like Mussolini censoring “cunt” like that?
Why is this stupid bullshit advertisement on Lemmy?
cmon bro, lighten up a bit. its just a stupid movie
If we just let ads take over Lemmy then it’ll be as shit a place to be as Reddit is. We shouldn’t be advertising for them. They have enough money to pay for it.
It’s “cunt”. What, did you think this post is monetized?
When i see the ofiicial movie logo, perfectly cut out and placed, i tend to think it’s just an ad. Writing cunt and "new capeshit£ in ms paint would be a meme.
I only repost memes so you get what you get.
With so many good opinions about how memes should be done Im surprised either of you have 0 posts in years.
put yout time where your mouth is ;)
Cunt.
The word is cunt. Cunty Cunty Cunt.
There, now you can rest easy and not have to wonder what the word was.I thought this was a new word for a document that isn’t a CV 😅
Spelling the word Cunt like cunt is cunty.
The artist knew… but they managed to get your engagement here, so it worked.
IDK if i would call someone adding captions to a meme, an artist.
Alright then, I’ll try this variation instead:
The cvnt knew… but they managed to get your engagement here, so it worked
It’s pronounced
C
U
N
T
Thank you for your attention.
How about don’t be a cunt by censoring cunt? May not be you OP, but whoever censored it, stop it
I’m not a cunt, someone on Reddit is a cunt. I’m just reposting
Ya, but you’re the cunt who didn’t change it now did cha? Cunt.
Joking btw.
Came in looking for spoilers.
Was disappoint.
I don’t care, I’m not going to watch it.
This seems like such a placed ad to make tge movie seem more interesting that it is. Oh no, please don’t spoil the disney movie, please no god.
Peter Parker is Spiderman.
You little shit
Gotya.
The cast was listed on the app I used to watch it, so I had seen one of the actor’s characters names and kinda spoiled myself. Still a fun movie if you like the mcu.
Me watching people take MCU seriously after endgame 7 years ago in which it became painfully obvious Disney ran out of ideas just like they did with every other franchise they own.

Someone who apparently hasn’t watched anything MCU in 7 years trying to convince everyone that there are no new ideas. It’s comic books man. I get that it’s too lowbrow for you but just let people like things if they want to.
Comics have always waxed and waned. Some of the great storylines in comics happen between some of the worst. Imo it makes sense that the films following this model could do the same, and writing all of the off forever because you haven’t been 100% satisfied every time seems silly.
It’s okay to not like the MCU, and it’s okay to be done with it. But you seem to be suggesting that the MCU was once good in your eyes - why do you think that somebody that has been proven to you to be good once is not capable of being good again?
If you want, you can try to sell it to me.
I was a teen when the very first Spiderman movie came out, and I found it quite entertaining at the time. (Kirsten Dunst might have had something to do with it)
I was also ok with the X-Men and saw Iron Man, which still was okayish but started to feel a bit silly to me.
I’ve kinda lost interest in those kinds of superhero movies. Sure I kinda liked Watchmen, if only for the great soundtrack, and ofc I’ve seen the praised Batman Trilogy (Begins, Dark Knight, Returns), I also kinda enjoyed Kickass for being partly a parody of its own genre. But after that era, I’ve never really felt the urge to watch any of these movies.
What am I missing out on? Which movies do you consider a must see (or at least great entertainment) even for someon who doesn’t know a whole lot about the MCU beforehand and has never read a comic book like that?
I mean, don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t work for Marvel Studios marketing department so I don’t really feel much incentive to sell you. I got no vested interest here, I just thought it was odd that the dude could acknowledge THING could and has been great in the past but while thinking THING couldn’t be great again despite the prior acknowledgement. That’s all.
That said, I am a comic book diehard and I am also still very onboard with the MCU. I’d say the new Spider-Man is one of my favorite films in the greater universe… but it’s also absolutely not a film you should go into blind. It requires at least having seen the previous Tom Holland Spider-Man films, bare minimum.
But if you’re at all interested in the MCU and haven’t dipped your toe in yet, my recommendation is simple: Watch Guardians of the Galaxy vol.1-3. These are, imo, the peak of the MCU (GOTG vol.2 is one of my favorite movies of all-time, in fact) and they’re also in some ways the most self-contained, so they don’t rely on a lot of connective tissue for their impact.
I took you for a fan, that’s why I was asking. I meant ‘sell’ figuratively ofc.
I wasn’t wrong, since you took the bait.
And I think my local library has Guardians of the Galaxy lying around on DVD. So I might actually give those a shot some time soon. Or at least the first one, and see how it goes. And maybe that Spider-Man incarnation. At least he’s a character I’m kinda familiar with. I remember playing him in Marvel vs Street Fighter a lot.
The first of the Holland Spider-Man films, Homecoming, is excellent. The only reason I didn’t recommend the Spider-Man series to you is because I think the second and third entries are a little shakier, and as a comics fan a bit “more Holland than Peter” to me, but this most recent fourth entry in the series is just as excellent as the first. So if you like the character already, check 'em out.
I’m beginning to suspect we’re allowed to swear here…
Absofuckinglutelynot.
I sure hope Uncle Ben makes it.
Uncle ben does, in fact, not make it. He has nothing to do with the creation of the movie as he is the mascot of a rice company, not an employee in film production
Woah, spoilers!
One rule. No one stays dead but Uncle Ben.
It used to be Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey. But now it’s only Uncle Ben
The Thing should be fine.
I assume this meme was made by an American.
It’s spelt: C U N T And in my country it’s not gendered language.
I am a white man and I’ve been called a cunt more times than I can count. And I’ve called my friends and random people a cunt so many insane amounts of times that even the greatest computer on earth couldn’t calculate it.
Which country? I’m in Glasgow and it’s practically a term of affection.
Aaaww
Australian And yes it’s almost a term of affection… But we still use it derogatory towards our friends He calls me An anxious cunt, I call him a miserable cunt.
And I’ve called my friends and random people a cunt so many insane amounts of times that even the greatest computer on earth couldn’t calculate it.
So about 42 times?
