stark contrast to the two weird anti-therapy comics on the front page right now.
The difference between non-ill and ill people is: “feel like that sometimes” VS “feel like that all of the time”
It is exactly the same for physical illnesses: Everyone has a tummy ache once in a while. You definitely need medical help when your stomach does not stop hurting.
And - of course - there are plenty of toxic people who will also belittle that.
“You must be exaggerating! Nobody feels like that all the time.” - the last thing my last boss said to me before i flipped the FUCK out.
Or it’s possible to perceive everyone else as toxic when you’re actually the issue. This is especially common with mental health issues.
“Everybody pees too but if you’re doing it 50 times a day something is probably wrong”
I’ve found that some people have a talent for saying the absolutely worst thing in any given situation.
Don’t worry, everyone says something like that sometimes /s
It’s an art really
Usually I’m best at it when I haven’t taken my ADHD meds so that my brain to mouth filter is FUCKING GONE.
Swety?
Proof reading is hard
It’s intentional
This is that idea that misspellings and the like are deliberate ways to drive engagement. You get people engaging with the ‘content’ and us snooty types engaging with the errors.
You may well have a point but I find it so hard to tell.
No, it’s a joke, intentional bastardization of the term “sweety” to make it sillier
Oh. Well I guess that went over my head.
Is something wrong sweaty?
This is the one that makes me violently angry.
The problem comes when you haven’t felt not like that for 6 months =)
