It’s super easy to just not click on them.

    Ridiculously easy. Pathetically easy even.

It’s exponentially easier not to comment on them for that matter.

Bad argment. You don’t have to tap/click for the comic to show up on your feed, regardless if you’re on desktop or mobile.

To avoid seeing it you’d have to know it was coming up ahead of time and refuse to scroll down too far

I don’t understand what you mean. I don’t have to click on anything to have it show up in my feed, and because I’m not subscribed to too many things here, just comics and a few other places, this hits my “feed” and stays there. I don’t have to click anything.

If you hadn’t clicked on it we wouldn’t be talking. So next time I suggest you follow your own advice and not click on things you don’t want to engage in.

Some apps have the ability to hide posts. That’s been a lifesaver for me when I see content I don’t like on subs I enjoy.

No idea. I use Mlem for iOS, which does have it. But it’s something to consider. Otherwise, I would suggest just grumbling under your breath and scrolling past (I do that too sometimes). 🤷‍♂️

As I said, I don’t have the same algorithmic scroll that reddit has. It simply doesn’t work that way. If nothing else is coming up, I just get the last post… which for an hour happened to be this crappy comic.

You’re missing my point. Coming into the comments to complain about a perfectly legit comic, regardless of your feelings for a poster or the posted, does nobody any good. You can:

                1. Block the poster,
                2. Block the community,
                3. Hide it (if you use an app that supports it),
                4. Filter out specific keywords (assuming the poster is thoughtful enough to provide them),
                5. Downvote and move on, or
                6. Do nothing and live with it.

I was hoping to avoid the list, but here we are. 😊
