I just love how the AI slop crowd always comes out of the woodwork as if every meme has to be crafted by an artisan. Just get over yourselves.

People get so worked up over AI-generated memes. They’re just memes, folks. They’re not taking away anyone’s livelihood, and they’re not going to be hung in the Louvre. They’re ephemeral.

Except that to make that shit they wasted 10x times the resources that are needed to change the text from the original meme with photoshop/GIMP/whatever and contributed to damage artists by using a collage machine of other people’s art

I pretty much disagree with the “…democratizing creativity…” because creativity was never a thing that only a few selected people can use, it’s comes in the human package

Anyone can be creative, but most are not good illustrators, myself included.

Neither i am, but it can be learnt, you see my pfp? I drew it, i couldn’t do it some months ago! I thought i wouldn’t ever be able to

Her? I drew her myself too, 5 months ago i said “hell naw i can’t draw, i tried but i just can’t!” and now i proved myself wrong, i could do it, and i did it, i was so fucking wrong

It’s not the best art piece of course but that’s because i barelly train myself and don’t have any expirience; you can also just trace over photos or art if you need to, there is no shame on that and many professional artists also do that

Edit: I get that someone may not want to learn how to draw but for that there are art commissions
