Although it would also be weird for her to just have a printed photo, if Sluggo recently started wearing hats.
I feel like in the 50s, this joke would’ve been told by having the guy walk into the room, which honestly would’ve been funnier.
Instant color film and the associated cameras have existed since 1948. While unlikely (due to expense), it wouldnt be unheard of for a person in the 50’s to be walking around with a polaroid of a loved one.
