While the Thanos bit might be artistic hyperbole, picking the Joker as a role model is more common irl than it should be, and is a legitimate red flag, considering that Joker stans tend to romanticize his relationship with Harley Quinn, which is very much an abusive, manipulative one.
When looking for a mature, emotional healthy & safe partner, Joker fans should be avoided at a costs.
Sometimes being judgemental is okay. Calling someone out for idolizing mentally unstable murderers is justified.
