Unfortunately just killing Hitler doesn’t solve the reason why Hitler came into power and some other charismatic leader would come along and do pretty simolar stuff as him.

We would need to kill the people responsible for the market crash and great depression and responsible for saddling Germany with the entirety of the war debts of WW1.

While there were forces and social currents that led to upheaval in interwar Germany, Hitler as an individual is still ma major factor into how things played out. You can’t ignore the fact that Germany’s government was molded into a cult of personality that was beholden to his whims, and swapping Hitler out for someone else would have had very different results.

If Hitler ended up being one of the Nazis killed in the Beerhall Putsch (which was very likely) one of the other factions in the party could have taken over.

The original members of the Nazi party were actually socialists (hence the name), they were just overshadowed by Hitler and his people early on. But the Beerhall Putsch was early enough that they could have retaken control, though they wouldn’t have heen nearly as relevant in politics.

Alternatively, Erst Röhm could have taken over the Nazi party as the de facto leader of the SA (the militant arm of the party).

Much of the point of the point of the Night of Long Knives was to eliminate potential rivals to Hitler within the party so that only Hitler loyalists remained. But if Hitler was dead the struggle of power would have been very different. While Germany wasn’t a haven for Jews, for a while they weren’t particularly worse than any other country. The focus on anti-semitism was mostly pushed by Hitler and tolerated by the other factions.

If Hitler was dead, It definitely would have looked different, but I don’t think it would have been meaningfully different. A population stuck in the throes of economic devastation are primed to find any scapegoat that is the cause of their problems, maybe the Jews wouldn’t end up being the main target, but… well… the Jews weren’t the only ones in Nazi concentration camps. The gold stars weren’t the only forced identifiers, the pink triangles existed too. Hell we’ve seen in the American decline into fascism that the Hispanic migrants are the scapegoat this time around but that hasn’t stopped so many other people from getting caught up by Trump’s thugs.

Molding the cult of personality around the glorious leader likely would have happened anyway regardless of who was the charismatic leader, that’s just how these types of fascist movements work.
