Somehow over the years I’ve moved from seeing snakes as vicious, stealthy predators to being pretty dumb, and the constant victims of the animal kingdom. They don’t come out on top of very many fights.
Its due to heavy adaptation specifically around snakes, when the first true snakes evolved they were basically meta (causing at least 1 extinction of an entire group and probably more we don’t know about) so whole ecosystems had to shift to basically not be fucked up by snakes.
