This is disappointing.
Two wrongs do not a right make, ladies. We should be more conscious of gender because of our experience, and with that wisdom realizing isolating a gender does not help towards a goal of dismantling patriarchy.
I point it out every time I see it because to me Lemmy is a space that is away from the current kind of rage bait you see on other platforms and it’s as you said; disappointing.
The worst is when these people are called out, and the response is “it’s just a joke, bruh.” But only if they get called out.

That’s not entirely true, all men are in the bottom left generalization. What is bad is toxic masculinity and oppressive patriarchy, “men bad” is just as problematic a generalization as the top three.
