Honestly sending Jesus as salvation is sort of like this. Instead of just choosing not to punish people and require a sacrifice, God sends his son to die. It’s like, buddy, you’re the one who judges humans, just ignore the sin instead.

Like imagine someone owes you money and instead of just erasing the debt you chose to take out a loan and pay it to yourself.

Just let them win different years.

That’s way too helpful to be an old testament solution. They would start by God declaring what the problem is, and it doesn’t matter if anybody agrees.

We are talking about the Christian God (I presume), obviously he would do something terrible.

The guy responsible for every evil act on earth? Definitely not.

If god is omnipotent he could just snip his fingers and will satan out of existence.

Something like the great flood is also a horrible evil when, god being omnipotent, he could just snip his fingers and make people not sinners.

If he’s not actually omnipotent, sure, then a lot of things change, though overall I wouldn’t describe old testament god in particular as kind anyway. Also people seem to really insist on the omnipotence.

                He will.

The flood was God punishing and destroying evil. People had free will

The Old Testament God is the same as the one of the New Testament.

              God did that.

Let’s see. Don’t eat from a tree (without explanation). They eat, and then he decides, “you know what, y’all get to suffer forever. Women, childbirth is going to be painful and deadly.” All because he gave them free will and then told them not to use it.

              Made up bullshit anyway.

I mean, there’s a good lesson in that lol. Old men with power don’t want ya to have free will xD

No, nobody was going to eat from the tree until Satan came along.

Your laughing emoji just makes you seem like a clown. If you aren’t aware of the many many many atrocities committed by/in the name of God, you are like a child trying to debate an adult on this subject.

God can just do whatever he wants. He could’ve simply said “no” to both of them. The act of prayer is a fool’s errand and to assume he’d bend to anyone’s will would be considered arrogant.
