Alt Text: A comic in four panels:
Panel 1. The Gothic Sorceress sits alone at the university of magic’s cafeteria, without her Avian Intelligence (AI) Parrot. However, something feels off: she’s surrounded by Avian Intelligence ads everywhere, big posters and marketing object “AI Next”, “Go AI”, “Join AI”, “AI Win”, “Use AI”, “AI Now” etc… and many users around with their AI Parrots. She thinks out loud.
Gothic Sorceress: Ugh, can’t escape it.
Panel 2. She runs down a staircase filled with the same AI ads everywhere, even large statues of parrots are here.
Gothic Sorceress: sighs Everywhere…
Panel 3. In a corridor with still many ads, she runs and push the door of the toilets.
Gothic Girl: Get me out! Somewhere, anywhere!
Panel 4. She sits on the toilet, looking exasperated, still fully dressed. The toilet paper, wall poster, and even the wallpaper all feature the same AI ads.
Gothic Girl: Seriously?.. Even here?..
Hehe, that reminds me how it feels when you don’t like something the rest of society really really likes. I’m Canadian, don’t like hockey, but when I stop to pay attention to things around me, there’s hockey promotions on bags of chips, on soda bottles and cans, on cereal boxes… there’s even hockey promotion on toilet paper packaging. So I’m sitting on the toilet, looking at the pack of toilet paper, and can read about some contest I could win in relation to hockey.
To me it was football
Of course there’s AI in the bathroom, because AI is shit.
At least they had the decentency to make toilet paper with it so it can do the one thing it’s good for, wiping my ass.
I remember trying to reply to a jira ticket and the whole screen froze up for a few seconds and I was given a big prompt saying “Chat to Rovo AI!” Like no, I don’t want to chat to an AI, I want to chat to this eejit who raised a ticket
Why do I feel this art style is much too beautifully made to use “just” for cartoons?
David Revoy is a known artist, this is his art style.
My father put a large sticker of clearly AI gen animal on the water tank (likely from Temu), so yep, accurate.
This comic was 100% made by ChatGPT.
So here we are, where AI has made people forget what real art even looks like. Sad.
You can tell its real art by a few details
- the tile lines all line up.
- the statues on the staircase match and are in line.
- the banner the statues are holding actually look attached and are lined up.
- the chairs all have the right number of legs.
- the parrot mascot/ad posters all match between the panels.
- the text is coherent.
- the lady’s face and outfit match between panels, even the spiky bottom part of the dress.
The only questionable thing is the background patron’s feet on the first panel, but maybe the artist just sucks at drawing feet.
This is an ongoing series is set to mock AI, it is purposefully made to resemble some of the generic over the top blurry filter AI is has become known for.
Guys I think this was supposed to be a joke
Maybe except that it isn’t funny.
So confidentally wrong. Don’t blame you though, by now it’s hard to tell if you don’t know the artist.
David Revoy is known for his “Pepper & Carrot” series, among other things.
Or, and hear me out on this, maybe there are people who actually create real art still creating real art.
Also, the artist credits are right there on the comic. Just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean it’s AI.
The author is linked in the description.
Good analysis
Utterly wrong analysis.
Don’t you mean an “udderly” wrong analysis, you mean cow? It was sarcasm, there has been a bunch of comments before mine saying it’s not AI
