I always tell my friends “Do not kill the part of you that is cringe. Kill the part that cringes”

    Crimson Desert.

I have never played a game like this. So much good, but the bad is so bad.

…is this a safe space for me to admit that sometimes I think objectively bad AI slop loops back around to hilarity?

I remember spamwatching those fake AGT transformation videos bc I liked the uncanny shocked faces and the transformations always looked so terrible lmao. Italian brainrot was funny too. I also remember this trend of AI kittens and babies doing this revving motorcycle dance trend which I thought was hilarious bc they aren’t supposed to move like that

If AI content were more honest about itself, i.e. that you could tell at glance which was what, it wouldn’t bother me nearly as much as it does. Most of the destructive power AI has is because it’s so hard to tell.

There was some charm to Dall-e or whatever, even if it was a bad omen.

Before slop started ruining our life, I quite liked the absurdity of “we made ai watch 1000 hours of whatever and it wrote whatever” or people recreating “ai generated recipes”.
Only later I realised that I actually liked it because it were people doing comedy, and ai has nothing to do with it. The same level of absurdity but actually generated doesn’t do anything for me

Ugh. The sick sense of relief I got when they announced it was cancelled, and the disgusting, fleeting hope I felt when they announced it was coming back 🤢

        Oh gosh, lol

Sonichu has so much… Let’s say intertextual baggage, that it, more than a lot of art, is inseparable from the, uh…art and art criticism, that it helped spawn.

Like, more than Sonichu itself, I think the 100 part Chris-chan documentary is more interesting as bad art. It comes out of this incredibly toxic online millieu of harassment and stalking, that ends up saying more about the community that birthed it, then it does about its nominal subject
