this comes across like anti-therapy propaganda.
I thought it was just a funny
Tis a joke
My agoraphobia’s foundation is the other definition of phobia. That is, I don’t fear being outside per se, I just really, really hate it. 99% of weather sucks and I’m away from home comforts, and that takes my already shaky mental health down into the negatives.
I’m not afraid of people either, but the fear of making a fool of myself, ah, well that might count as an actual phobia.
I’m in a similar category. Exactly the same about hating being outside because I’d rather be comfortable. In terms of people, I don’t want to exert the effort. The me that is so charming and delightful is a farce. It comes naturally, but leaves me so drained. Its comfortable being at home around my safe people and not having to fix my face when outsiders say something I don’t like.
I mean, owls typically eat small birds too, just like cats.
Last week I saw a raven flying with a baby seagull in its beak.
The seagulls were not happy.
Is a bird eat bird world out there.
Dinosaur battles!
It’s a birdy bird world!
This reminds me of a therapist I had that only lasted a single session, and I never went back. Not that he was trying to trick me outside but, I’m very introvert and from the go he started to insist on communities, on reaching out and finding like minded people. He may have had good intentions but to me it felt like he was trying to bring me into his religion, and I couldn’t stand this approach.
So therapists are just there to manipulate me into dangerous situations? No wonder I dont trust them.
Taking advice from a random internet comic is the smart move.
Sounds like you’ve had a streak of shit therapists. Also, it’s supposed to be entirely confidential unless you give them reason to believe you are an immediate danger to yourself or others.
Only the amateur would strike when the bird makes their first outing. Let the bird become comfortable first, let them let their guard down, and attack when they least expect it.
You can only catch and eat someone once, there is really no need to build any kind of long-term relationship for that.
But get his friends in on the scheme and now you’ve got a buffet!
