The water can only dilute dirty stuff so much. Shouldn’t you rinse any items that are too dirty through running water first before throwing it into the washing machine?

I thought the machine did that because it only releases the soap in a later stage. But I also think the machine reuses water a lot to save on water.

Once my dog pissed on a sheet and I threw it in the machine without even rinsing it.

Everything I washed for the next week smelled like dog piss.

There’s only so much piss a washing machine can take.

Absolutely. If my washing machine can handle a full load of pissy cloth diapers every night, it should definitely be able to handle one sheet with dog piss on it.

HAHA! PARENT! Your senses have been dulled by the effluence generated by your loin-goblins, you don’t even realize… you can’t smell the horrors they generate and now all your clothing bears the burden of their stench!

parenting is an adventure. use these experiences to justify future decisions on how late they can stay out and what college you’ll send them to.

Yes and no. Washing machines only have the water level go so high for maximum fill loads. it’s honestly a disappointing level. You’d think they would have the capacity to fill water to the top of the drum, but in my experience they don’t. (Maybe old models do?) If you overfill your washer, it might not be able to clean off all the piss.

    Reddit has changed so much.

r/sinkpissed USED to be full ironic posts. “Haha, what if”, with no actual sink pissing. Not anymore…

To get the proper drinking experience, make sure to let it age in your bladder for at least a couple of hours. If you’re not going to age it properly then might as well use it for the washing machine.

When our bodies metabolize protein they produce ammonia which is toxic to us, so our liver combines it into urea which is ~20X less toxic in our bloodstream (fish don’t do this because they can always pee the ammonia out their gills)

Urea of course breaks down into ammonia, which is alkaline and polar. It does a decent job of dissolving fat and grease.

Its also why i buy unscented ammonia and add about a cup or so to my laundry (especially for bedding) to help extract even more oils from it. It seems to work quite well and it’s cheap.

I guess you can save one small flush of water with that, so I’d say it’s a-okey!

Wait was there a legitimate use for piss in the olden days?

Was piss used to wash clothes?

I dont rember if it was water down a hill where human bodies were buried or if piss was collected directly in PISS BUCKETS for washing.
