This is the logic behind conversion therapy and they actually do this (albeit with the addition of electric shocks and all sorts of abuse).

If conservatives were capable of using logic, they wouldn’t be conservative

      Let me just…

If < insert big name political party in America > were capable of using logic, they wouldn’t be < insert big name political party in America >.

You are purposely choosing to ignore the context in which the original statement was made, so that you can paint it as unfounded.

That’s either pure intellectual dishonesty, or an exemplary demonstration of being incapable of logical thought, either of which seems to place you squarely in the demographic being targeted in this thread.

False. I’m simply saying that @homes@piefed.world statement applies to more than just conservatives… That’s all. Not that it doesn’t apply to conservatives at all, especially when referred back to OP’s post…

It’s literally not even a fighting statement but a simple reference to the cooked state of American political parties. It’s not that deep my friend.

            That’s a distinction without a difference.

If you’re looking to refute a point, then commit to it and argue properly. If you’re trying to make a different point, then state it and provide your reasoning.

            You did neither.

One group is transparently gaslighting themselves on a daily basis, on national channels that they own. We can safely say the R’s have an aversion to reality.

I remember my dad explaining that “the gays” did it for the money. A household of 2 men would have more money.

    1. Everything that’s not acceptable to conservatives is equally bad
    2. One of those things turns out not to be so bad
    3. What else might not be so bad?
    4. ???
    5. Kid now is going to hell and, worse, will grow up to vote for someone left of center or become trans or gay or whatever

That’s the worry. The ideology is fragile. Any single crack in the dam will result in a flood.

Maybe heterosexuality is a metastable state while homosexuality is a stable ground state. It’s like sexual vacuum decay.
