Yup and guess what MS is doing? They are sunsetting MS Publisher; a tool we use a lot at work. It goes away in October. How hard is it to just leave it unsupported but at least still working?

I feel like your IT department should be able to figure out how to keep it frozen in time, I.e. working regardless of M$ support

Working good so far. Got several templates converted over and learning some of the differences between the two apps.

Pain point found with no good solution. LibreOffice Draw, in a table, in a cell: i can set tab stops but cannot tab to them.

Cntrl+tab doesn’t work either. AI search says build table in Writer where it does work then copy/paste table into Draw. Seems like a horrible work around.

Other than that, really happy with Draw.

Tucker Carlson ruined bow ties for a long time, but penguins are taking them back and making them classy again.

Our dislike of NFTs stopped that…

Dual GPU was meant to be the next big thing, and that went.

VR was meant to be the next big thing, and its hanging on a thread.

NFTs was meant to be the next big thing, and that’s gone.

AI was meant to be the next big thing, and I believe it will fade as well.

“A false analogy is a logical fallacy that occurs when two things are compared based on misleading or superficial similarities, leading to incorrect conclusions. It suggests that because two entities share some characteristics, they must be alike in other significant ways, which is often not true.”

And yet hype cycles are real and many of them have bellyflopped. Microslop is similarly in real danger of shooting themselves in the foot with this terrible rebranding.

AI as a technology sure, Windows on the other hand I think there’s a real chance people will stop using it as it continues to get worse and alternatives continue to get better.
